With so much growth and development, it's hard to narrow it down to a mere 7 things you must do. Between its devastating political history, beaches and temples, there is a lot going for Cambodia. We've made a hard decision and picked the things we thought were most note worthy.

Although this amazing pile of bricks is most likely already on your list, you can never be too sure. With endless possibilities of temples to see and mind blowing views all day, it's something you will remember for a life time.  Follow our guide if you want to survive the day.

On first impressions, it might seem like there isn't much to do in the sleeping town of Battambang. Dig a little deeper and you'll find it's most popular tourist attraction, the Bamboo train, is worth a look. Fly down the man made tracks at scary speeds and be prepared to endure amusing stops..

We spent a relaxing few days in Kampot as we got back to basics and enjoyed river life. It was a real outdoors experience at Arcadia hostel with lots of stories and much needed relaxation. Head into town and make sure you head to The Rusty Keyhole for the ultimate ribs.

There isn't many things that are better than shacking up in..well..a beach shack, on a beautiful tropical beach. Skip the main beaches in Sihanoukville and enjoy staying on a quieter beach for a small price. Accomodation is basic but waking up and walking onto the sand every day is a great way to start the day. If you want to go even quieter then head a little further to Otres 2 beach.

If you're headed to Phnom Penh then this sight will most likely already be on your to-do list. It's only fair that you pay homeage to the gruesome history that Camobodian people have endured. Visiting the Killing Fields will be a haunting and humbling experience but it will give you perspective on Cambodia's tragic times through the Polpot regime.

It's the Koh Phangan of Cambodia and the main reason we want YOU to go there is because we didn't make it! We did however hear from all our traveling buddies how fun the partying was and how great the beach atmosphere was. Backpacker accommodation is super rustic but we hear it's worth it.
